custom build/buy debug catalogue
I recently thought about how nice it would be to have a custom build/buy debug catalogue, especially for grunge builds. It's no secret that building a run-down grunge-looking dreary abandoned lot raises the lot value to the point where the broke sims need more money than a regular household.
With this in mind, having the option to dump any item from the build/buy catalogue into a debug catalogue to reduce lot value will be a great help for such builds. If the player can choose x amount of items at zero value, it raises the versatility of the building aspect of the game. It includes a little bit of landscaping like a random tree and a few shrubs and rocks just to make the lot look more alive if you're playing a short-on-cash household, instead of having the lot completely blank.
To take this one step further, instead of getting cash for selling these items (in an attempt to fix up the run-down house), it would be more realistic if it actually costs money to get rid of it. Sort of a zero to place, but pay to remove kind-of thing.
Having this custom catalogue can also allow players to place their favorite items for builds like this in the same catalogue to make it easier to navigate for future use.
Just a quality of life improvement idea, thought I'd share.
