No offence but you are actually showing a very childish reaction when you are basically trashing other people's
work by saying Maxis has bad taste just because they didn't pick something that you like (or nominated).
SimGuruBChick clearly states that there are no guarantees. They are also looking for unknown creators (Read "New Rules").
I think it's great that Maxis has a mix of old and new stuff. It doesn't bother me one bit.
I have a feeling that they are trying to balance those two - which imo is great.
Try and be happy for those who gets picked :) Even if their work is not your cup of tea.
I'm sure getting picked by Maxis means a lot to them and who knows, it might even motivate
some of them to continue and share even more in the future. No harm done.
