Hi @Divapixie I have heard that platforms can cause problems in apartments, I have only used them in houses I think so far but I know they can be a bit weird at times. I wish they would fix them and the round walls with roofing.

Yes a lot of people leave a gap, I tried my way by accident and found it worked :) Plus if you make a Tiny home you can make a room without a floor by doing that little cheat to add a room on the side of a house and then pull roof over it ;) If theres no floor it has no tile count and you can still add flooring its just in the day the room is darker but lights work at night just fine. I have also made a greenhouse or shed that way for a tiny house, I even had a Maxis Fave with a Tiny house with a cheated shed for a Juice fizzing machine, so they dont mind as its not a mod.
