European Architecture Tour (Gemchiara)

After completing my US Architecture Tour (all creations here), I decided to explore the rest of the world and continue with Europe. Having lived in Europe most of my life, I'm always amazed at how much difference there is in architectural styles. This thread is mostly for my reference but I've included links and photos if any of you are interested in downloading these and playing them in your game.

Introducing my European Architecture Tour, building lots that encapsulate the architecture of some of Europe's best cities and regions. Let me know if you have any suggestions, have a dozen or so planned already but am always open to suggestions.
  • EU Architecture Tour: London Victorian Townhouse

Quintessentially British, Victorian townhouses can be seen scattered around London. From dilapidated old buildings that have been turned into hip cafes and clubs, to some of the city's most expensive real estate, the Victorian townhouse is possibly London's most recognisable style. This townhouse features a split level lower ground floor and even has a guest room. Family friendly and perfectly British, this home is perfect for any world your sims live in.

    Lot size: 30x20
Amenities: Home office; home gym; formal living room and lounge; guest bedroom; split level family room; master suite; private garden.
    Lot price: $164,111
    Bedrooms: 4
    Bathrooms: 3

Don't forget to turn on MOO in order for all appliances to work (as the kitchen and laundry is against foundation) and for landscaping.

  • It is lovely that you are doing a European Architectural tour now also :) I will look forward to seeing each of the builds!
The London Victorian Townhouse build is lovely! :) Very nice exterior design and interior furnishings ! The outdoors living sitting garden area is very nice for sims to enjoy spending time outdoors.
  • Whee, we're going to Europe! The Victorian Townhouse looks great. This type of build makes me wish we had a neighborhood where the lots are just jammed together so we could get that dense big city feel.

That would be wonderful! I've often made rows to get that feeling but then my game lags like crazy and I can't actually play with them :( But yeah, a whole neighbourhood of tiny adjacent lots would be amazing!
  • European Architecture Tour: Paris

Inspired by the real life "La Maison Rose" in Montmartre, Paris, this small cluster of buildings are perfect for whatever tickles your fancy. Built as a real French restaurant (menu curated to fit the theme) La Maison Rose offers four indoor tables and a series of small bistro tables outside to live a true Parisian fantasy. The lot can also be used as a fully functional cafe thanks to the little take away coffee shop around the back of the lot. With a few small tables outside and a barista bar inside, it's a cute meeting place. If businesses aren't your thing, the entire lot can also be used as a residence. Move in a large family or a bunch of random Sims and pretend you get to have your own apartment building! The lot features three apartment complexes. One is modern and luxe, featuring 1 to 3 bedroom apartments while the other too offer studio apartments, both modern and more traditional and run down. All apartments are unfurnished but come with painted walls and carpets. You can view the floor-plans below and hope and pray that they will one day allow us to have apartment buildings in other worlds! Just place a mailbox down if you'd like to use as a residential lot. Turn on MOO to place. No CC on entire lot, just a few debug items.

    Lot size: 30x30
Amenities: Penthouse apartment with terrace; rooftop garden; café; French restaurant; studio apartment buildings.
    Lot price: $138,635
Lot traits: Up-and-Coming Hot Spot; Party Place; Convivial
    Apartments: 11 (8x Studio, 1x 3-bed penthouse; 1x 2-bed, 1x 1-bed)
Bathrooms: 11 + 2 Powder Rooms in restaurant

  • European Architecture Tour: Tuscany

A beautiful converted Tuscan farmhouse (or Podere) inspired by the many pauper-turned-prince homes of this Italian region. Known for using raw, local materials such as stone and wood, Tuscan architecture has become so popular, it is often seen outside of Italy to display luxury without being garish. This two bedroom home comes complete with a huge kitchen, plenty of outdoor space, a lovely living room and not one but TWO pools!!! (one of which is disguised as an ancient Etruscan watering trough or, in Italian, Fonte). The house is very much inspired by my childhood home in Volterra, Tuscany as well as many of the homes in the area.

Lot size: 40x30 (styled in Windenburg on the Summer Home lot)
Amenities: Veranda; pool; home office; garden.
    Lot price: $116,474
Lot traits: Peace & Quiet; Homey; Sunny Aspect
    Bedrooms: 2
    Bathrooms: 3

I stg if you hadn't told me I wouldn't have known! Thank you
  • I will post here what I wrote on the other thread about your lovely Tuscan home :)

Tuscan Farmhouse is lovely! :) It is very special that you based it on your childhood home <3 Very nice exterior design, stone textured walls, pretty flower box windows and the water trough pool is very nice! The vegetable garden patch is great! The wishing well is a nice touch there. It is nice that there is an outdoors dining area on the veranda, and very nice pool area. Very nice layout and homely furnishing of the interior! The wall texture is nice. Very nice sofa and armchair sitting area in the living room for Sims to enjoy watching tv. The candles are calming and the sunflowers are a nice sunny touch on the table behind the sofa and on the island sink and stools counter in the kitchen. Very lovely kitchen ! The arched stove alcove is very nice! The kitchen items on the counters and wall and the crockery cabinet are nice homely touches.
It is a very nice Tuscan home :)
