you can just put the items in the family inventory or one of the chests I haven't experienced any lag with keeping one of each.
the curator aspiration yes I will add that exception
there's no real goal it's just trying to make your family legacy house with all the restrictions and with it being also harder to make money it will take time and your sims will be poor and trying not to crack even when all your sims are sharing a room and running out of space (which is happening to my sim family with 6 kids in one room the 6 was definitely not planned they had quintuplets and the husband already had a daughter when my sim married him)
the number of generations is just like the normal legacy 10 gens or as many as you want or as many as can last
