A social family get together event is a great idea. I would often use this. It will allow all my Sim's grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins to come all at once without me having to invite everyone individually. Even if they have to limit it to 15 guests (like with weddings) it would still be better than nothing. I also agree with making it not a goaled event. I often uncheck the box when doing weddings. I like to do things the way I want to in the game. Would be great to have ungoaled dates too.
