I've also started doing this as well.
Going to have them wait until the toddlers get all of their skills maxed to age them, though, instead of just 3. And I may occasionally do something like all child aspirations at times - I'd likely hold off on more kids for a bit to do that, though, and space some out. Maybe even do a few runs where I have them aim for specific character traits as well - the ones they earn from doing things (or not doing things).
I am going to be blogging my story, but I'll share a couple of pictures here.
