I'm glad Liliana was willing to call out Asher on why his wife was so upset, at least. I've tried to be patient with Asher and his complete lack of sense sometimes (as has Adelise who has far more patience than I do!) but at this point he's going to have to step it up before Adelise just straight up walks out on him. There's only so much one person can take before they give up dealing with stuff. Maybe the Fier kids are much better off sitting there and eating cake than they are being aware of their parents' issues anyway.
Oooooooh my goodness...The thing with Adelise. So if she were to stray far away enough from him she'd just die? That's awful. At least that's how I understood it. There's never been any proper escape from her- not from her family, and not from this. Escaping has always had another price to pay. 'I won't stop trying' is good and all, but the harsh reality is that everyone has a breaking point and even the most understanding person can't go on tolerating and tolerating. But then I imagine for Adelise, as well as the now-revealed if-she-leaves-she'll-probably-die (I think?) scenario, you've also got the underlying feeling of guilt if you DID try to walk away.
