Following The Fords - Legacy Story

It's a rainy morning in Willow Creek as Mila and Zach wake up for the first time in their new home. Mila makes her way to the kitchen to prepare some breakfast while Zach takes a shower

Then the couple sit down to eat and discuss their plans for today - It's Monday morning so Mila will have a new writing assignment to get started on, while Zach starts his new job as a caterer this afternoon.

After cleaning up, it's time to get dressed; the couple have decided to take a walk around their new neighbourhood. Mila decides on her favourite leather jacket to protect from the light drizzle outside, while Zach dons his jacket and hoodie.

Before heading out, Mila checks her e-mails and sees that she has a new assignment from her boss - she's been asked to write a gossip article about the Dirk Dreamer scandal... Great! One day I'll get to cover real things, she thinks to herself.

With e-mails read and replied to, Mila and Zach head out on a walk. They see a small local garden where some seasonal plants are grown, check out the river that runs behind their home, and talk to a few people.

One of those people is Liberty Lee, one of their neighbours. Liberty introduces herself and the couple discover she lives just a few houses away. She invites them over to dinner with her roommates, Summer and Travis, sometime. The couple accept the invitation and feel pleased they've made a new friend in the town.

The couple return home from their walk and decide it's more than time for lunch. Zach whips up some sandwiches

And the couple sit down to eat. They discuss their new friend Liberty, and look forward to dinner with her and her roommates soon.

Before long it's time for Zach to head out to work, so he gives Mila a kiss

With Zach off at work, Mila gets started on her new assignment - a gossip piece about Dirk Dreamer. She writes a fantastic piece outlining the new scandal - he was seen in a "heated debate" with fellow celebrity Dustin Broke. Mila writes an objective news piece, but theorises that it's all for publicity for their upcoming TV show.

It might not be the ground breaking journalism that Mila dreams of writing, but it's a pretty good piece. She sends the draft of to her boss just in time, as her phone rings.

It's her Dad, Henry, calling to check in on her after the move. Henry Beckett is a professor at Britechester University. Mila tells him more about her new home and how excited she is to have him over to visit soon. He promises to do just that, and the phone call draws to an end.

Mila quickly checks her e-mail to see that her piece has been approved! She does a few final edits and then she is paid $156 for it. Yay!

With writing out of the way, Mila whips up some quick dinner and then settles down to watch some TV while she waits for Zach to get home. She wonders how his first day working for the catering company is going, and dreams of the future they will have together.

A little while later he returns home, tired but pleased with how his first day went. He greets Mila happily, his first time returning home from work to their shared house.

Then Mila leaves him to eat and watch some TV to unwind while she heads to bed.

And before long Zach joins her, bringing another day to a close in the life of Zach and Mila. What will happen next? Will Zach continue to enjoy his career, and will he progress like he wants to? Will Mila ever get to cover some real news? Find out next time!

They discuss their plans for today - it's a prep day for Zach so he doesn't have to go into work, while Mila hasn't had a new assignment through yet. So, they decide it would be nice to spend the day together before heading over to Liberty's house for dinner.

Mila also points out that with the business of moving, they've yet to... 'celebrate' moving into their new home...

Oh good, they're finished. With 'celebrating' over and done with, Mila hears the phone ring. It's her boss, with some exciting news!

She's asked Mila to cover an art show in San Myshuno! She'll get to interview the artist and check out the newest works of art going up for sale in the big city! It's an opportunity to finally cover something other than celebrity gossip, and she's excited! She tells Zach her news and he's thrilled for her!

Zach decides to take the time to read up on mixology, hoping to be promoted soon

Cute and professional, I love it! Dressed and ready, she heads into San Myshuno, arriving at the art show just after opening.

She checks out some of the art work.

hmm... This one uses a variety of colours to reflect the various subcultures within the city...

Then she gets chance to interview the artist.

She asks about her inspiration, specific pieces of art, and her future plans. It's a thorough and professional interview - great job Mila!

The art show draws to a close and with a book full of notes, Mila heads home. Tomorrow she'll write up an article about it all and send it off to be reviewed - if her boss likes it, this could be her break into better assignments!

The group crack open a bottle of wine and get to know each other. Mila tells them about her job and about the art show she covered today. Liberty is particularly interested, working in the writing career herself.

While Zach tells them a little about the couple's history, moving to Willow Creek and his plans to take over the culinary world!

Which leads us nicely into dinner!

Summer cooked a delicious meal - it turns out she also aspires to be a chef and is working hard to achieve her dream.

Zach offers to introduce her to his boss and see if any jobs are going in the kitchen, which she's grateful for.

The group continue chatting into the evening before the couple decide to head home with the promise of meeting up again soon

Clarissa lives in The Old Salt House (reno by Deligracy) and is an interior decorator - she's designed some famous houses, including renovating the Goth family mansion and is currently working on a new home for Judith Ward!

They tell Clarissa all about the new house and Mila tells her about the art show she covered yesterday - she was thrilled for her!

They also invite her over to see the new house soon - Clarissa offered some tips for decorating, but decided she didn't want to see the house until the couple were settled.

After some more talking and catching up, the couple decide it's time to head home, taking a slow walk through San Myshuno's Spice District on the way

Once home, Mila sits down to write up her article about the art show while Zach reads up on Mixology - there's an opening for a mixologist at his workplace and he wants the promotion!

Mila writes a great article, but decides to leave proofreading it until tomorrow. Zach has the night off from work so they want to spend some time together.

They decide to watch a movie - Sims of the Dead.

As the movie ends and the credits music plays, they shut off the TV and head to the bedroom
