For Rent Residential Rental Preparation Thread

I don't want spend time building anything before I know how many sims can live on a rental lot. But one thing I am already thinking about is how to lay out a building so that the occupants of each unit can reach the lot departure point (e.g., when going to work/school) within a reasonable time. Not having elevators means you don't want to make the building too tall, or it'll take too long for sims on the higher floors to get out. Neither do you want to put units too far at the back of the building with only one way out the front. Strategically placed stairs and exits will be a must for these lots.
