Franchises in TS4

I'd rather play standalone games that offer TS4 style gameplay in the universe of those other characters.

For example, I'd love to play the Firefly characters, or create my own characters who interact with the Firefly characters, but I don't want to play them stuffed into the TS4 worlds where they live in the suburbs and go to the gym or the ski slopes or whatever. I want to play them traveling from planet to planet and dealing with much more severe hazards than we face in TS4.
