A Death/danger related option was an option while voting for the new stuff pack and I wish so much they had chosen a death related pack because this game needs more realistic morbid additions. In previous sims generations we had the option for a funeral, we were a lot more connected to the death of a sim than we are now and its angering because when Grandpa Mike dies I want his grandkids to be able to mourn him and throw an event in his honour, I miss the ability to work in the tombs and say hi to the folks on my sims way to work (His parents were dead btw) and spend time with long passed family members. It was fun and let him know that death isn't the end, and frankly I want that back and your ideas are very much needed.
I love the thought of my sims neighbours coming over and spending time with them after a passing, depending on how close the sims in question are, they could either be brought food, keepsakes, gifts for the kids to keep their minds off it all, it should vary on the dynamic.
If a neighbour hated the deceased, they might come over to gloat, or visit the grave to dance on it, smash an urn, etc.
An old lover could come to speak highly of the deceased, depending how close they were, or how crazy the living partner is, they can perhaps steal the urn and make it yours or the neighbours job to get it back. It all depends.
Maybe an unknown sibling can appear and crash the funeral, give you a call afterwards/during.
And ex spouse has the option to attend, send a gift or just not be involved.
A Pet can refuse to leave the stone/urn for days on end and growl whenever you or someone else tries to move them.
If the sim lived alone yet had kin, the estate could be inherited, fought over or given to the council. If said sim had debts, repo guys could come to collect, bringing more grief to your already heartbroken family.
If the deceased had lost a spouse previously, your sim could reunite them by holding a funeral at night, the ghost appears and attends the service, once all is said and done the ghost of the recently deceased sim appears and they share a romantic embrace along with the notification dialogue box saying something heartfelt.
The possibilities are endless and I hope more come forward so the team see this and consider making either a stuff pack or expansion.
Another nice addition would be more Grim, you can become close to him, maybe even work alongside him as he makes his rounds, the chance for platonic friendship or a steamy affair resulting in otherworldly offspring are an option and perhaps you wind up finding a hidden world based on the dead, ghosts, zombies, etc, choose to live with Grim and his people or stay in the living realm for the sake of your child, give them normality as much as one can when their kid is the spawn of death. Endless options
