Question about legacy challenge

Wondering if any other legacy players have an answer to this because I couldn't find one anywhere.

So, this generation's probably-heir is currently (best) friends with someone the same age as him, who I'm planning to be his spouse. This sim is in an in-world household (born from the Robles family via neighbourhood stories so no pre-determined traits) so the question I need the answer to is:

Does anyone know if it's against the 'official' legacy challenge rules (pinstar's) to play as a non-legacy family purely to go into this sim's simology panel and see how many days they have before age up?

Also, are there any ways to do that without going and playing as that family at all?

If anyone can answer this it would be very helpful :)

Edit: this was meant to be in general discussion I have no idea why it's here

  • Well, I can't give you an official answer, but I know playing other families is against the rules, but that's in regard to actually playing them. If you're just going in to see how many days they have till age up, I personally don't see why that wouldn't be okay.

And I don't know of any other way to check that. Maybe a cheat or mod, but through normal gameplay I don't think there is.
