I do like your idea for a coffee visit. Wonder if they could code visits.. kind of like the club system. I'd love to see a nectar tasting event for instance.
I mean right now you can have a club over if you have Get Together and set them to want to eat. Then flip it to something else afterward like be friendly and joke. That way they don't wander off and do other stuff. Pool parties are fun with the club system by the way. I have a group over and have them swim and eat maybe dance then I know they will basically stay in the same area.
Actually the club or group system for the most part would stop them from wandering and doing other stuff as long as you focus what you want your sims to do. Locking doors for everyone but household members is good too.. by the way.

I really do want some sort of beauty parlor/cosmetic surgery/personal stylist ect place. I spend time on townies when I like my save and would love for changing them to be an active part of the game.
