Haloween is coming up!

As described. And I wonder why my sims still can't grow pumpkins in their garden, and use them for eating, too. I would really like that.

When you set Spooky actions for a holiday, it says that carving pumpkins counts towards the goal but I assume that's something relating to the Stuff Pack, because I don't have it and can't find any way to do it in my game. There#s a pumpkin statue but that does nothing.
