Sewing would be nice. Similar to sims 2 you can craft toys and such with the edition of custom outfits and perhaps bed sheets and animal clothing. If you’re a poor sim starting out you can take requests from neighbours and make something for them, or sell items at the festivals introduced in city living.
Or something more toward the paranormal such as a medium or investigator, rather than capture ghosts you can catalogue encounters and interact more with them, bring back the ability to have a ghost family depending how close you are to one and have the choice to be one the side of good or evil. Evil has you scaring and tormenting the living with help from angry ghosts, sabotage boards and introduce negative energy to a sim of your choice, a neighbour, family member you don’t get on with, etc.
the side of good has you reuniting lost family, lovers, solving sad stories and uncovering secrets of local estates.
Maybe a mother died in a fire and wants to see her son again, maybe a child following their death was buried in the wrong place and needs to be placed with their parents to find peace, it’s an emotional hobby that may upset some but sort of gives the player a sense of achievement because they’ve helped bring spirits to rest.
Maybe competitive baking/cooking, face off against locals in competitions around the world and whoever wins receives a cash prize of some sort. You have the options to help or hinder rivals progress and even destroy their chance of winning by poisoning their dish and potentially killling the judge.
Just a few ideas
