Hotels, motels and inns - own hotels and stay in them!

Hi everyone!

I often find that my storyline would be benefited by the inclusion of hotels. I'd love to make a family hotel business with children chipping in by cleaning rooms or waiting tables.

This could definitely be enhanced by Dine Out as you could have restaurants on-site, as well as room service orders being met.

The hotel pack would need to include the need for Sims who are visiting other Worlds overnight to sleep somewhere. For example, Sally visits the park in Newcrest but it starts to get late. She can either a) find a friend to stay with in the neighbourhood, b) get a room in a hotel/inn, or c) sleep rough in the park! Making it more difficult to just pop home would be necessary to get Sims to actually have a reason to stay overnight in a World that isn't their own.

Like with Dine Out, the hotels could gain ratings and become Five Star depending on decor, client satisfaction and quality of beds etc. Areas of the hotel can be 'locked' to allow only employees, where they can do Laundry if the player has that pack, do the cooking and undertake marketing tasks like blogging or Simstagramming!

I'd love to have more input on this idea, it's something I often wish was part of my game to make storytelling improved, eg. the unrealistic notion that Sims would always travel home after a night out in a different World, rather than seeking a room to stay in. I think adding a hotel to existing and future holiday destinations would be so much fun too!

Please add your ideas :)

Design the staff uniform in CAS, so I could have racoons running the place if I wanted!

Choose what food and drinks went on the room service menu

Have a new un-simmed Buffet Table we could customise for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Including decorations.

I LOVE the idea of bringing back the buffet table! Especially for breakfast :)
  • Well I can think of one reason not to have a forced overnight stay... stories. What if I wanted to make a No-Tell Motel and the sims that went there didn't need to .. sleep. They may need to get home to their husbands or wives before nightfall.

    Business trip?

    Exactly!
  • I would love to have a B&B in Sims 4! We've had Sims 3: Island paradise, that pretty much introduced the concept and it was pretty good!
At the end of the day the only thing that ypu need to control on the actual bedrooms is the dexor in build mode, other than that it's all blacked out and you can't see what is going on when someine is checked in.
It would be fantastic if it could work on the Dine Out principle when it comes to customer feedback.
There's so much I could say but the idea is that it would be such an amazing Expansion Pack!!
  • It could come with a new vacation world, but you'll be able to build and own your own B&B or hotel in other worlds as well
