How about a check text messages feature?

We often get text messages from sims wanting to come over, go out, or invite us to hang out at their place. I like this feature a lot, but I have a couple of issues. The messages often disappear ...

Having more control would be nice.
Just dropping everything and teleporting there is a bit disruptive to game play. I would even like to negotiate a time for some outings.
