- You can try removing the floor around an area. Raise the foundation a bit then Build walls or fences around the area you want serve as a platform and then remove the floor outside of it; that’s the best way I can think of since you can’t build a platform onto an existing floor.

Thank you so much, I will try that. thanks again- You’re welcome ?
- GalacticGalSeasoned AceI do wish the Devs would give us those interior platforms, such as we had in Sims2. We never got them in Sims3, but it would enable more than merely stages. We could create L-shaped stairs, and I durst say, U-turn stairs, too,

Thank you for saying it. It was the best feature in TS2.- > @smurfy77 said:

I have had so much trouble with this because when you try to raise up a part of the floor to be next to a different level height, it gives an error, even with MOO. So normally I just use the lowest half wall around whatever I want to be a stage unless I don't need it to be inside. If I'm raising something like a bed, I use Ctrl+9 (with TS3 camera enabled. with OG TS4 camera use just 9).
Also, just thought of this, but you might be able to use Ctrl+9 with a dance floor (gettogether) (maybe a rug????) and just surround it with the lowest wall. I'm gonna go test this right now. - Yeah, that did not work. Raising a rug does absolutely nothing. Your sims just walk through it. Raising a dance floor prevents them from using it. Raising a guitar to a certain level is fine but raising a microphone... no. Just no. And putting the half wall around it just makes everything unusable and I cannot figure out the stairs to make this work.

That would be awesome- Is there any way to make a stage underground? I tried this method about 6 times, but it doesn't work in basements....please help!

Have you tried using the split level technique? Haven't tried it yet myself but I've thought about doing it!

I have done this before but I had some lighting issues as a result. Because the foundation level is considered "outside", the interior lighting never looks quite right, you also get shadows bleed in from outside. I suppose it depends on whether you'll care about something like that longer-term.
