Really hard to decide between these options. Obviously traits should form some of your Sims personality and what you decide on be it loner mean vegan bro or neat should truly impact how your Sim behaves and what you see them doing more often.
Loner Sims should be doing activities alone more often and not found chatting up the town where ever they go
A vegan Sim should always have a bubble with a vegetable above their head when they first introduce themselves like "Hi I'm a vegan" and have that pop up when they talk a lot.
A bro should be talking a lot about sports want to play sports often at this time all they do is get energized and confident any Sim can do that. What's really sad is there is not even a single sport Sims can play together to truly play out this trait with other bros.
A mean Sim should be able to be seen across a room maybe picking a fight looking angry when someone they don't like is talking to them which would also require improved relationships. If I pick mean I want to see it in behavior not a Sim who walks around with a smile all day.
A neat Sim should randomly dust an object or maybe pull out a vacuum the Sim "having fun" while doing household chores is not cutting it for me
Now obviously improved traits are meaningless unless this game gives them new animations and real activities to go along with them
I agree with all of these! The Eco Lifestyle EP added something like this. (That EP did a lot of things right, if only it weren’t so buggy!) Sims with the Recycle Disciple trait enjoy rummaging through the trash for recyclables, they also get tense when they haven’t recycled for a while. If left unattended, they swipe and recycle things they own without the player’s permission. How chaotic lol! I feel it’s a happy medium between the TS3 and TS4 traits and, for me, it’s a step in the right direction to how traits should affect our Sims. Now, that example is only for Lifestyle traits, I’m sure the Studio can think up more creative solutions for Social and Hobby ones. (I would also love a group sports for Sims!) We have a lot of packs now, so they can revisit some of their older content and animations and tie them in to the existing traits.
