This is something that I, too have been thinking about. I too, am a huge perfectionist. For me, I feel that my writing gets worse with each new chapter. Personally, I thought your first chapters were great! I immediately bookmarked your story after reading the first few chapters. (I didn't see your post until you had posted chapters 3 and 4). As haneul said, it's because Simlit is not so serious that I was encouraged to start my own story. I used to try writing stories when I was in highschool, but I never finished them since I critiqued my own writing based on the fact that I thought I'd have to write something "perfect" enough to become a professional author before I could share them. I'm glad to have found these forums and this game, a place that allows me to share what I write, a place where perfection is not expected. Enjoy writing your story. If you don't enjoy it, why write it? (That's something I have to remind myself of often, as well.)
