Most simlit writers have thoughts like this.
I used to focus on perfectionism back in the day when doing Sims 4 simlit. As time went on, perfectionism became less important to me (I still take good screenshots and do my best when writing, though). I used to write cliched villains and other cliched characters. Nowadays I try to make my characters three-dimensional. Currently, I'm doing a TS3 legacy.
So, something I could say is, learn from your mistakes and don't worry so much about getting every detail right.
