Idea: Get Travelling
I have a new idea that may fit somewhere between a stuff pack and a game pack: Travelling abroad. Not all of these are my own ideas. I've taken a lot from what I have been reading on forums. What I've seen people ask for on playthroughs and other sites.
New gameplay: Being able to rent rooms, homes or suites. Think Airbnb or Hotels. That type of short term stay. Similar to how you can rent a house in vacation worlds, you can set a lot trait that certain lots are rentals. You can also have rental homes. Basically "vacation anywhere."
New Aspiration: Well Travelled. Sims aren't tied to one home and want to live in all of the worlds. Similar to how remote workers can work anywhere, some people love to live anywhere. This would tie well with the upcoming "Island Living", and can use the world in "Get Together".
New NPC: The Concierge. Basically, an NPC who can book the rooms and potentially cleans, answers questions about the local attractions. You can use a computer or phone to interact or bring to your lot. Not necessarily tied to a desk, could use a tablet to run through their actions.
This would be a great pack to focus on build mode and decor, less on create-a-sim. New laptops. Maybe laptops that sit directly on laps when seated or lounging. Mean actions like wreck the place. Windows that open. Luggage and Tupperware bins used as storage containers.
You can have a review system. Where both places and "renters" are judged on the state the property is found in or left in.
Potential New objects: Single serve coffee pot. Tray table for eating. Meal cart.
New interactions: Takeout, delivery options. Leave a tip. Leave a review. Complain to owner/concierge. Ask for direction. Blog about travels. Write reviews. Send a postcard to family or friends.
