A... box? I've never seen that before. Why would you want to put your baby in a box?
It began in Finland in the 1930's, it was originally used to encourage poor women to visit a doctor more often while pregnant. The box contained items that they may not have been able to afford including clothing, bedding and nappies for the baby, and the box itself could be used as a bed for the newborn. The sides of the box help prevent draughts, making it a cozy place for a baby to sleep.
After it's introduction, there was an increase in prenatal care, and a decrease in infant mortality. It's now available to all pregnant Finnish women.
The concept went viral in 2013, with several countries adopting the concept (as a freebie) and many others having them commercially available.
The box itself is a great way to keep babies safe during cosleeping. You're less likely to roll onto your sprog if you get poked by a box corner!
