Improvements to Aging
The aging system in Sims 4 is one of the biggest reasons I stopped playing. Sims basically go from two-years-old to five-years-old to sixteen-years-old. I fully understand why people feel like we need...

I do not particularly desire preteens or \"tweens,\" but I wouldn't turn them down. Plus I have said for a while we need a Generations pack to make other ages more fulfilling to play.
What I really want is for teens to be proper kids still. Yes, they need teen specific stuff, too, but it is pretty ridiculous that they cannot do anything childish when they are still technically children. Some teens are fairly childish, and do not stay that way the rest of their lives like when giving them the trait. Right now they really are YAs with high school instead of the bridge between childhood and adulthood.
I realize this might be what you may want the preteen to be, OP, but I think there is room for both here. I specifically want it for teens due to my own personal experiences.
Obviously elders need more, and every stage could use a dose of uniqueness if they can get it.
I don't really like that concept. Because I see teen sims to be 16/17. Them playing with toys or other child activities doesn't seem right to me. Unless they have a childish trait it doesn't make sense to me. That's why I think a whole new life stage would be the best way to bridge that aspect. Teens today are really not like children at all. But they could still find ways to make it more interesting. Like special events like dances, throwing a party while the parents are gone, sneaking out, prom, battle of the bands, and sport tournaments. I can understand your thought process but I think older players need to realize teens are not the same as teens were even ten years ago. Even little kid clothes these days look like mini-adults. The franchise is trying to still appeal to the younger crowd.
