Introduce Strip Malls

I gotta share this funny idea I came up with today when I was in a parking lot after going grocery shopping. The game ought to implement strip malls. This strip mall will be an entire district with a bunch of lots and a large parking lot in the center as the common area. There can be food stalls and similar amenities. Don't forget grocery stores also. These strip malls are definitely a suburban staple. I also happened to be in another strip mall today and found some inspiration.

On a technical level, there probably would be 1 business per lot. Lots appropriate for this idea would be restaurants, libraries, lounges, spas, cafes, retail, and grocery (if implemented). The common area will be a parking lot. There can be food stalls, seating, and tables in the common area.

These pictures depict the shops all in one long building, but I think for the purpose of this game, each business should be on individual lots.

  • Oh, so that's what a 'strip mall' is

I thought they were like what we call an 'open air' mall.
But instead, they're more like what get called a 'home maker centre' here.

I guess I had that coming. They can also be called shopping plazas, but upon a quick search, it showed indoor shopping centers. I am looking for an outdoor shopping center. So yes, an open air mall.

But an open air mall here, is two rows of shops facing each other across a paved area, there's no parking in an open air mall. :p

Personally, I'd rather a 'main street' or 'high street' to be included.
(It's a street, usually with parking on either side, with shops along it, sometimes they're closed off to traffic, becoming more like an open air mall.)

I like the look of this one
