Journey to Batuu

Hi everyone,

I am so curious to know who really likes The Sims and Star Wars. How many of you enjoyed the Journey to Batuu game pack so much that you would love to see a stand alone "The Sims: Star Wars" game? It could include characters from the movies and shows and some of the planets from them, plus the ability to create your own characters and build with as much flexibility as the regular Sims. Maybe even possibly have a few options to create your own planet? Or if it's not just a Star Wars game, it could just be "The Sims: Outer Space" one that could include Star Wars at some point or another. It'd be great if they came up with a stuff pack for TS4 to add more to it too. I know you can tell why I'm writing this just by looking at my icon ha ha.

I would really want a Sims: Star Wars in the vein of Sims Medieval. I mean come on, the fact that it's nothing more than a tiny little game pack is kind of a waste of the Star Wars IP honestly. I get that a lot of Star Wars fans probably think the idea of Sims crossing over with Star Wars is the definition of "Cancer" (and Sims fans that think the same thing honestly.) but there's just so much potential for its own standalone game that Journey to Batuu sets up but fails to do anything with. Like.....seriously charging people $20 just so they can be the errand boy of a Star Wars world and occasionally see a Star War is.............I mean come on, you give people a lightsaber but not even allow them to use the force or anything? Come on EA, you're somehow the one game company in the world right now that has the sole rights to anything Star Wars.....Use it well instead of making yet another Battlefront game you'll ignore after a year.
  • Hi @DoodlyDoofus ,

I completely agree that there's so much potential! I would much rather play with Star Wars characters in The Sims than in Battlefront because I'm personally not interested in games like that. Besides the fact that there's more to the saga than just fighting. This is kind of like a teaser for those who really like both The Sims and Star Wars ha ha. Kylo Ren is the only one who can use the force in the game, right? Rey can only play mind tricks on those against the Resistance as far as I know, or can she use the force too? It'd be so awesome to be able to play with the Star Wars Universe like that. I'm sure it would sell well and it could possibly attract people who never played The Sims before, but you may be right. Maybe a lot of the original players would be very disappointment to see that as a stand alone if they're not interested in the saga at all. I really am hoping they'll at least add a stuff pack to TS4, though, with some more build items, characters, and clothing. Maybe even add a little to the game play.
