Lucky Girl - Completed

Evie is certainly feeling things she's not used to feeling, and it's all very overwhelming for her, especially since his moving to Berlin is complicating things. We know as much as Evie about how Jude feels about her right now, which is not a whole lot! So it's very mixed up. If he likes her back, would he say it? If he didn't like her, would he spend time with her at all? It all remains to be seen.

Haha! We all get to a point where we can't keep our opinions to ourselves anymore, and Evie is starting to get tired of Kelly always asserting her authority over her - she doesn't own her, and yet she simultaneously acts like Evie is her project and a burden to her. Yes, it went badly with Liam, but after what happened on their date, there was no saving it. Nothing Evie could have said would have made him react well, even if what she did say was slightly pathetic.

Kelly's frustration is just bleeding out now, and it doesn't matter who's in the way anymore. The only difference is that if she aims at Claire, she'll get it thrown back in her face. Claire isn't afraid of Kelly because she doesn't have the long history with her like Evie does. She thinks it's all nonsense. If she wants to go to the festival, she's going and that's that. She's an aspirational person for Evie, someone she wishes she could be. Things work out easily for Claire all the time, representing what Evie could have if she was able to change her mindset or circumstances.

Thanks for your comments!! Also I changed chapter 9 around a bit after we chatted about it hehe. I was in a Halloween-y mood when I wrote it, and didn't realise how ACTUALLY scary it was, rather than cute "tee-hee" scary. I feel a lot better about it now :wink:
