On the note of Simbots, I'd prefer if they are not as tall as sims. If they are the size of a child sim, they will be less intimidating and seem like more of a servant. Being the same height as a sim makes them seem "equal" to them, or even superior. I'd like a small simbot whizzing around my futuristic sim's house, cleaning puddles and bringing blue drinks to her as she looks down on it.
A smaller robot also makes it possible to make a robot that looks less like a human and more like a robot, because making a robot according to sim (human) proportions, makes them look like creepy rusty metal people like in TS3, which I don't like. Sure, other people might like them as they are in TS3, so say in the comments whether you'd prefer them like that or like I described. It's a discussion, after all. (*votes for Eve from Wall-E*)

EDIT: While reading another thread about robots, I had an idea. If simbots are added and function as I described above (programmed to be social or servant), it would also be fun if we could assign them a single trait through programming. Something like friendly, clumsy, loyal, mischievous or evil. This would determine how the robot socializes and acts, as well as how strictly they follow orders and if they goof around. It wouldn't be very advanced and complicated, since it is only a robot and doesn't experience emotions. Unless, of course, a sim masters the Programming skill and has an option to upgrade them to have emotions. You could also leave a robot blank (without a trait) to have them completely robotic and only do what you ask them to, otherwise they will simply stand in a corner and wait for further instructions/wait until there is something to clean or fix, thus not having any aunatomy. A bot with a trait does have aunatomy, albeit restricted. You can also change a bot's trait at any time, as well as switch a bot from "social" to "servant" freely. You can also switch a bot on and off, making their lights and eyes shut down and turning them into a temporary decorative object or storing them in the household inventory.
I don't know if we should be able to play as robots, though, because that might be too much for a SP. Anyway, I don't think many people would really want to play as a robot, and even if they did, people would probably rarely play as one. The main function of a robot, thus, is socialization and a cooler version of a butler.
Robots could maybe be ordered on the computer (hmm that's boring, I know, but some people would want to immediately in their save have a robot servant) or they can be built with the programming/rocket skill or something. It would be cool if they can be customized through an interaction on them under "customise.." --> "choose LED colour" (the colour of the lights in the face that represent the eyes and the buttons: blue/green/purple/red etc.), "choose body colour" (white/silver/black/light blue etc.) and "choose gender" (sets voice to robo feminine/masculine).
You can have more than one bot per household, and bots can socialize with each other if at least one of them has a trait. Friendly bots will be friendly (duh), evil bots will wreck havoc on other bots (and the household + furniture), mischievous bots will play pranks on other bots and sims etc.
