Since there was nothing interesting to do in this entire town, Max sat down (at Stephan's desk, lol) and did his homework. In the back of his mind played the scene of the fire he started in the kitchen. He kinda wants to set another fire, just to distinguish it afterwards. He wants to be in control of fire.

Suddenly I remembered, this boy inherited the Spellcaster Trait from his Erratic father.

(Max) "Well well, look at that. I might need to contact dad once again to teach me some things."

(Teulia) "Hey Stephan. Why are you on the ground? You have a desk in your room, you know."
(Stephan) "I think my new roomie locked the door from the inside. Can't get in."
(Teulia) "You should definitely report that. You have the right to be in there too!"
(Stephan) "Nah, he must have his reasons. It's fine. The floor is kinda comfy."

After a few hours of practicing, Max got a call from his sister (the one he doesn't hate), Hannah.

(Max) "How did you even find me?"
(Hannah) "I have my ways. So, can I come over?"
(Max) "Egh, sure. But don't let anyone find out where I am!"
(Hannah) "Don't worry, I got you."

(Hannah) "I know. Also, nice hair-colour."
(Max) "I always liked dad's hair colour better than moms. I'm jealous that you got the good genes. Anyways, why did you want to come here?"

(Max) "Are you marrying Russell*? Dang, really didn't expect you two to stay together like that."

*Russell is Max's High School best friend who started dating Hannah.

(Max) "Egh, fine. But I'm only doing this cause I tolerate you both."

After saying goodbye to his sister, Max went back inside where he bumped into Stephan.

(Stephan) "Hey, thanks for opening the door man! I thought I had to sleep on the couch tonight."
(Max) "Sorry, had some business to attend to and I really didn't want to be disturbed."
(Stephan) "All good, all good. Just, tell me in advance so I can take my stuff out."

Since everyone fell asleep by now, Max risked it to practice Spells in the hallway.

Eventually he managed to learn Inferniate all by himself, and he already had a target to try the spell on: that ugly chair.
