Dennis Racket didn't really care about hearing Clem's pizza woes from last night. All Dennis cared about was hearing about some dirt on the Willow Creek sims. And Clem didn't have anything new to report. But he had a plan. And the next day, Clem decided to head to the Municipal Muses Museum to see if any of the Willow Creek sims hung out there.

It was a rather impressive gallery, and he wouldn't mind owning a few of these paintings. (I was trying to view a lot of the paintings to get that discovery klepto trait pop-up to appear, but it never happened.)

He went upstairs and saw another sim painting (not a Willow Creek sim), and thought he would give it a try. How hard could it be?

Well, apparently not that hard, since he painted the same painting three times in a row. Paint-by-numbers really comes in handy, doesn't it?

Clem spent a few hours at the museum waiting for Willow Creek sims to appear. While he was there, he did meet an interesting sim named Ulrike Faust from Windenburg. She was a painter, but said she disliked painting. What? Maybe she was suffering from job burn-out.

She had to hurry off though because she had to find someone to marry. Um, alright...life goals, I guess. Since there were no other visitors in the museum, Clem decided to leave and head to Bob Pancakes house for dinner.

As he was leaving the building, he saw someone who looked like...oh my...it was! Mortimer Goth! Finally a Willow Creek resident! Mortimer was "old money", very rich, and lived in an old gothic house in the exclusive neighborhood of Pendula View. He lived with his wife, Bella and their children, Cassandra and Alexander.

Clem wasted no time in getting to know Mortimer and planted a bug on him.

Clem found out that Mortimer was a freelance article writer and enjoyed writing macabre stories. So, Clem shared some conspiracy theories with him. Mortimer was actually interested and said that he could use some of those ideas in his next article.

Clem rather enjoyed talking to Mortimer, but Mortimer had to leave to attend his daughter Cassandra's violin recital. Yeah, Clem had to head out as well and headed to the Pancakes residence.

It was dark when Clem arrived at the Pancakes house and the smell of bar-b-q brought him to the backyard where a female sim was cooking. Clem figured this was Eliza Pancakes, Bob's wife. Apparently their son Iggy wasn't home and Bob didn't seem to be around either.

Clem introduced himself and gave Eliza a nice hug to plant that bug.

Unfortunately, Eliza seemed to get the wrong idea of what Clem's intentions were and gave him a seductive look and offered him a rose that she had picked from her garden just for him.

Clem: "Um, Eliza...where's Bob? He kind of invited me for dinner..."

Eliza: "Oh, he's at work and won't be home until 11pm. Don't worry about him. I'll provide all the entertainment you'll need..."

Eliza then confided in Clem like they were long lost friends of how unhappy she was in her marriage. She wanted to live in a bigger house with nicer, more expensive things, and be with a more exciting sim.

Clem really wasn't interested in her personal life, but maybe this would come in handy for his meeting with Dennis Racket.

Eliza: "I just need more adventure in my life," she said flirting with Clem.

What the heck? Was there something in the water in Willow Creek or was Clem just imagining that all these sims were flirting with him?

Clem asked Eliza if she could tell him where the restroom was, and she said that she would be glad to show him personally. They headed up the stairs and then she opened the door to the restroom. Before Clem could do anything, Eliza had torn off his clothes and was pushing him into the shower! This was like deja vu with the butler.

Geez, that was hot! And Clem realized that maybe Eliza was right and she needed someone else. Maybe that someone else could be him. He suggested to Eliza that if she wasn't happy that maybe she should break up with Bob. Be with someone who could give her an exciting life...someone like Clem..

(Another failed attempt by Clem to break up a couple for the Villainous Valentine Aspiration).

She turned him down. She said she might think about it, but wanted to know his annual salary! Excuse me? Clem started to get mad. It was obvious that Eliza had just used him. Clem actually felt sorry for Bob being married to Eliza. Bob was out working, supporting his family, while Eliza was just whining and complaining about how boring he was and how she felt unfulfilled. And the more Clem thought about it, the angrier he got and started shouting forbidden words at Eliza....how she was just fake...

...that she didn't really want to leave...she just wanted to whine and complain about her life...and not really do anything about it...

Eliza: "Fine! I'll break up with Bob, if that will make you happy. But I am just not ready for a steady relationship yet. I want to keep my options open..."

What? Oh my Plumbobs! Eliza Pancakes was a real piece of work! He had never met anyone like her...and actually never wanted to meet anyone like her again. He still needed to use the facilities and decided to find another restroom on the second floor, as far away from Eliza as he could get.

Meanwhile, in the other room, Eliza was breaking up with Bob. Clem heard crying. No, not Eliza. It was Bob...poor Bob.

When Clem was done using the facilities, he saw that the sink needed re-adjusting, so Clem did what he had to do. And that ungrateful Eliza just barged right into the bathroom and was unhappy with his sink intervention. She was just not happy with anything, was she?

Eliza then started yelling at Clem, and they came out of the bathroom yelling and screaming at each other. Bob had come into the bedroom wondering what all the yelling was about.

Eliza then started hitting Clem and they got into a huge fight with poor Bob just looking on.

After it was over, Clem told Eliza that she didn't deserve someone like Bob, and that Bob was nice, and that Eliza was just...well, not!

Clem: "Stay away from me Eliza. I never want to see you again!"

Clem then followed a very sad Bob into the other bedroom and tried to cheer him up.

Clem: "Bob, look, this is a chance for you to change your life. You need to find someone who will truly appreciate you...someone who will understand you...accept you for who you are..."

Clem didn't have the heart to tell Bob what he and Eliza had done earlier. Clem regretted every minute of it. But if it hadn't been Clem, it just would have been someone else. And the fact is, no-one would ever be good enough for Eliza.

Maybe it was guilt, but Clem really felt bad for Bob, "Hey Bob, give me a call if you ever want to talk or just hang out. And...um...when you're ready to see someone else...I might have a few names for you. In the meantime, get out of the house and maybe go to the bar...have a drink, Bob, and cheer up..."

When Clem got home, he shook his head and couldn't believe what had happened at the Pancakes house. He quickly took a shower and thought about it afterwards. He wasn't sure what to tell Dennis Racket about the incident. He heaved a sign and sat down at the listening device and was shocked by what was revealed.

More simoleons changing hands at the Pancakes residence. Probably some secret account that Bob had set up to hide the funds from Eliza.

And oh my gosh! Mortimer Goth has the worst secret of all. So bad that he couldn't even tell the secret to his cat!

And then he got a phone call from Bob which made Clem feel so much better.

Bob must have met Ulrike at the bar. Yeah, go for it Bob! :)
