The extra Caliente is their mother Katrina. I believe in their write up they said she is the one who moved in Don L. ;)
Congrats on selling your first of many books! Nice painting too! Hint grab the easel in every house you visit and leave a painting on there. If the owner of the house puts a painting on the easel you can't use it without having to change households and deleting it. :)
