Especially if we could use it to "unlock" hand-made clothing items, maybe? Or even hand-made carpets, curtains, pillows, plushes, anything. Give my sims a sewing machine and a knitting set. At the lower levels they could even add items made to look like they're of poor quality, as if made by beginners, because they're low level items.

I work with sewing in real life. My mom knits sweaters and mittens for us all the time. I'd love to have a few more creative skills like this in the game.

Oh wow, also imagine combining this with the woodworking bench. Say your sim has both a good handiness skill and sewing skill. They could make an entire couch or something, complete with pillows.

Let us craft!

It would be fun if the Sims could scrapbook and make family albums that we, the players, could actually flip through. It would be a nice adjunct to the broken screen management tool.

You could add that to a retail job? skills in that means higher selling items?

Well it seems as if we got some of the things on my wish list. Floral design, beekeeping (pesky little bugs). And children can now make arts and crafts not just pictures. Thanks everyone for their feedback. Hopefully soon we'll have other hobbies added to the game.

Apparently there's already a sewing machine in The Sims Mobile.

Although it's a part of a career, this means they already have a mesh to use! And animation?

I hope they bring it over to the real Sims game sometime.
