More Features For Customizing Sims

Skills levels and careers should created in CAS and we should be able to lock levels skills. I know everyone doesn't want to start from scratch every time the create a sim and some don't want to cheat. All relationship options should also be in CAS; bestfriends, enemies, fiancé, stepbrother etc.
Story mode is the closest we have to this feature but everything is randomized and you can't change it. It would be cool if the option existed so can choose what we want from the get go.

Since you can kind of already do that with story-mode, can we get the option to change the occult of a sim without hitting "create new sim"?
I sometimes find myself creating a sim and thinking "oooh, this sim would be perfect as an *insert occult here*!" But - WAIT I can't do that. I have to play the game and cheat to change them.

Nothing is more annoying than creating a character and thinking they would be a wonder full occult only to realize you can't change in CAS. I have no idea why they set it up like that. Because in CAS most of the sims have two models and spell casters are just normal sims. It can't be that hard? Well I don't know for sure.

  • I like the suggestions in this thread. It would definitely help to have more options in CAS

    I completely agree with
    - add skills or careers of our choice if we want to
    - the possibility to add friendship or lovers relationship
    - change the occult state of a sim without having to start over

What I would like to see is additionally :
    - set left or right handedness (as someone who is left handed in real life, I would like to be able to decide this one myself)
    - view and change preferences like favourite weather, favourite movie,...

What's the difference if a player cheats skills or one adds them in CAS? Both have the same outcome. Same for relationships. I use MCCC to add/change stuff if I want. What you suggest would be cool. I think other things are more a priority like bugs. Right now my Sims game is a mess.

The difference would be we don't have to go back and forth between cas and live mode to change these things. The result might be the same but it would not be so tedious to set everything up. Sometimes I just want to create a sim with starting a new game but now I have to move them in before I can for example set them up as fiancés.

I would have to disagree. I want Sims to emulate real life as much as possible, and nobody is born with a certain skill level, nor are they born with friends/enemies--these things are learned and experienced over time

I understand your point. When I start a new game, I also want to start skills and careers from scratch for my main sims. But the more options the better. If we could add them, we could still choose not to. It is all about giving us the choice. I would definitely use this option when I create friends or neighbours for my main sim.

Cheats ARE how this is enabled ALREADY.

Use them, or don't. But this is what they are for.

Yea but you usually have to leave CAS to set all that up. I just think it would be better from the get go. So if you prefer to use cheats or not the option is always there.
  • It just feels weird to create muscular sims but start with 0 fitness skill. lol

also it helps if we can also set the amount of positive or negative relationship to another household member straight from cas so we can directly upload them to gallery along with the relationships points of each family members.
