I like the suggestions in this thread. It would definitely help to have more options in CAS
I completely agree with
- add skills or careers of our choice if we want to
- the possibility to add friendship or lovers relationship
- change the occult state of a sim without having to start over
What I would like to see is additionally :
- set left or right handedness (as someone who is left handed in real life, I would like to be able to decide this one myself)
- view and change preferences like favourite weather, favourite movie,...

What's the difference if a player cheats skills or one adds them in CAS? Both have the same outcome. Same for relationships. I use MCCC to add/change stuff if I want. What you suggest would be cool. I think other things are more a priority like bugs. Right now my Sims game is a mess.
The difference would be we don't have to go back and forth between cas and live mode to change these things. The result might be the same but it would not be so tedious to set everything up. Sometimes I just want to create a sim with starting a new game but now I have to move them in before I can for example set them up as fiancés.

I would have to disagree. I want Sims to emulate real life as much as possible, and nobody is born with a certain skill level, nor are they born with friends/enemies--these things are learned and experienced over time
I understand your point. When I start a new game, I also want to start skills and careers from scratch for my main sims. But the more options the better. If we could add them, we could still choose not to. It is all about giving us the choice. I would definitely use this option when I create friends or neighbours for my main sim.
