More gameplay kits ideas

Small additions to gameplay, no skills, crafting or any complex gameplay mechanic:

  • Lawn mowing kit: like Bust the Dust but for outdoor. Return of weed growing gameplay plus new lawn mowers available. Also compatible with Cottage Living to ask rabbit to eat the weed. A composting bin could be included, to have new fertilizers, choosing the desired ones and ammount of each, using leaves, mowed grass and other organic items in the Sim inventory.
  • Pool cleaning kit: much like above idea, another chore gameplay kit, this time for swimming pool with a new cleaning gameplay using either a leaf net or a new underwater filter. Water could decrease it quality with the time (enhanced with weather or nearby trees if Seasons is installed). Sims can catch frogs in their pools if isn't clean. Also including water slides in three different versions.
  • Woodchopping kit: off-the-grid appliances that requires wood or coal must need now wood. Using a new wood shed, axe and stump, Sims can now order raw logs to chop in small pieces ans "feed" the appliances. Axe throwing target included.
  • Water heaters kit: for the first time in the series, water heaters could be available for the game. Water heaters could allow to Sims to check the water temperature for all the plumbing items and triggering new interactions, like flushing the toilet while another sim is taking a shower. New clutter utilities items including water, gas and electricity meter, propane/gas tanks and fuse box. Compatible with Eco Lifestyle (if solar panes are present in the lot) and Seasons.

All the gameplay kits described above could have an option to deactivate the gameplay if someone wants a decorative lawn mower, water heater or wood shed. Also, if Laundry Day is installed, a new option to deactivate laundry gameplay could be included.

I'd say like a band like drums, bass, keyboard like we did in Sims 2.
More Dance Styles like Ballet (on the bar and off the bar), Jazz, Hip Hop, Retro.
Kitchen Appliances like Food Processor, a Juicer not like fizzy juicer but an actual juicer with no fizz like in Sims 2.
More Sports like Throwing a Football or Baseball and hitting it with a bat or just play catch.
More kids play like tag, Ms. Mary Mack, Hopscotch, Duck, Duck Goose, Teens hangout at the playground.

I love these ideas the best. Catching frogs in the pool is a great thought! ??

Sorry, I didn’t understand the heater idea. ?

Rather than a disable option, I prefer something to trigger things like you need laundry stuff to trigger laundry.
Buying a lawnmower triggers the weeds.
You place something to trigger maintaining the pool. Maybe an option to have a pool boy to clean it for you, similar to a maid.
Perhaps a shed to trigger wood or coal collection. Axe throwing was my favourite thing in Sims 2 Bon Voyage.

Water heaters/boilers could come in three models: tankless, tanked and large basement one and could trigger new interactions, moodlets and other stuff with the use of appliances and plumbing items that requires hot water at the same time, like sinks, washing machines, showers and others.

For example, if a sim flush the toilet while another one is taking a shower, there could be consecuences. Or Sims could have a bad shower if another Sim is using the washing machine or washing the dishes due the low pressure or not desired water temperature. To fix that, Sims must upgrade their heaters with better parts, to avoid overheated showers or no hot water at all, depending of how much appliances or plumbing items there could be in the lot. This gameplay could not affect communitary lots. Only residentials and can be deactivated like the dust gameplay.

Also, it could include decorative only utilities items like water meter, electricity meter, gas meter, propane/gas tanks and others clutter.

Finally, if Eco Lifestyle is installed, Sims could use the solar panel to heat water.
