More Ponds Please

I'm working on a house I'd like to upload for others simmers to enjoy but I've run into an issue... I'd really like an underground pond. Like really.

Let's back up a bit though, shall we? I really like the Admiral's Wreckage plot in Sulani. However, I felt like the current lot was a bit underdeveloped for its size. But the idea of an underground house fascinated me so I decided to upgrade it a bit. But I wanted to upgrade the house/lot while respecting the original design; but I also wanted to design the lot around a coherent theme to somewhat explain why such an extravagant house is where it is. And trust me, the house IS extravagant. But it's also optimized and functional. The theme is simple, an insanely rich/famous sim decided they wanted to move to a tropical paradise, but didn't want to skip out on any luxuries, but also didn't want anybody to know where they lived.

Enter the "Sulani Research Station".

As you can see I tried to keep the overall aesthetic of the base lot, but I swapped the ship for a plane. Turns out this sim didn't actually decide to move and instead had a bit of a crash landing, but the location was so beautiful that they decided they might as well stay there. Buuuut there is an active volcano nearby, perhaps that's why they crashed, so why not build a research station to monitor the volcano and the health of the island as well? Plus it serves as the perfect cover, I mean nobody would ever think that there's an extravagantly lavish mansion underground. Would they? It's a win-win! At least the sim thought so and so they decided to build. It's an Eco friendly lot that's "off the grid" but you'll generate more than enough power/water to supply the needs of the lot. Everything was going good until I got to the pond. I've got the basic pond created but unfortunately I can't add any fish to it...

You might be looking at my pond and thinking to yourself "Wait a minute, that 'pond' looks awfully like a pool!". Well yeah, that's because it is. Heh. You can't use the pond tool underground, I could complain but I'm not because I get it and there are easier ways to fix the issue. Pools. They can be built anywhere, fairly easily, and it makes logical sense using them to do so even from a logistical design perspective.

Pools can be placed out and spaced without using any cheats, although the lot uses bb.moveobjects for multiple things so purists might not like the house. Nothing I can do about that. I didn't have to use that cheat for the pond though so it's irrelevant for this discussion. You know what else I didn't have to use cheats to do?

Indoor animal sheds. So I can put a cow inside, underground, but I can't throw some fish in a pool? I need a fix for this EA/Maxis. No, I don't mean take my poor cow and llama from inside their lovely underground cove either.

Honestly, the solution is simple. Just let the fishing sign that came with ponds work in/on pools. When you put a fishing sign on a pool it converts that pool into a pond. You can no longer swim in it, or maybe you still could (I say disable swimming because it seems easier to just mark/flag the pool as a pond), either way you'd be able to add fish to the pool and decorate it like a regular pond. Plum, you can already add most pond items to pools anyway. I don't know programming but that has to be simple, no?
