There is too much mourning in the game since these cursed phone calls, but funerals, graveyards and functioning churches/temples would be nice.

It's a phone call that says that a family member or friend died and the sim gets the same moodlet as if they saw it themselves.

Yes and that's a big problem if your Sim has high charisma values and befriends everyone by saying hello. I never know the deads from the phone calls.
