Multi-purpose Lots

What I find this game could really use is the ability to mark different parts of the lot for different purposes.

So, for example, if you want to build a mall with both retail stores and a restaurant, you can mark each area accordingly rather than forced to choose, and they would both function according to their purpose – the retail area would be selling goods, whereas the restaurant area would spawn chefs and waiters.

This would also apply for residential lot type, so if you want to build a townhouse with a cafe downstairs and an apartment upstairs, you would've been able to do this as well.

You could even use a similar feature to create multiple residential areas on a single lot, each allowing a household to move in, effectively allowing players to make their own apartments.
  • This!!!! I've wanted this for so long so I can make apartments, and little store lots.

This is something I've wanted for a long time.

I went through a phase of creating cute little street scenes, and I really wish I could have made them functional.
