2019...

Lewis and Frank turned 18...

Carolina had a talk with Anna about her future. Anna wanted to become a vet given her love for animals. Since they had been letting women into the veterinary college since 1915. Having applied and accepted due to her experience in the war she wanted to go but didn't know how.

Carolina told her she knew about the college and acceptance. She then told her that Frank has made arrangements for her to join him as he attends. Frank want to be a teacher and has a love writing. He secured them a small home in Britechester and will take the next train out. Carolina says her goodbyes and wishes her children all the luck in the world.

After getting started on their studies they needed some time to unwind and went to the local Pub. Anna really enjoyed the atmosphere and when she had the time would sing there some nights. She also ran into an old friend, Nathanel Wellington. Nathanel was there giving lectures to the medical college. He was very happy to see Anna and began to see her as often as he could.

Mary Rhodes ages to a toddler... Ruth was still very distraught over Henry's death and her heath had declined a little. Carolina spent mopst of her days taking care of her girls and nursing Ruth back to health. Ruth became inseparable from Mary never leaving her side. Carolina was able to start getting Ruth out of the house by taking them to the park and taking in the fresh air. It's also where Ruth first met Henry so she enjoyed being there, it brought a sense of calm to her.

Prissy became an Elder...

Frances gave birth to a baby boy... Robert McDermott (this was the last baby try for Frances. I use a dice to see how many kids they will have 1 to 6 unless I plan on them having pets. Though I wouldn't mind a bigger household I don't want my game to break so sticking with the max of 8 in each household.)

Lewis would visit them when he could. Frank introduced him to a few friends and started a Men's Club, they call it Mad Men. Whenever Frank returned home they would all accompany him and gather at the house.

1920...

When Anna wasn't singing at the bar or in classes she was spending her time with Bomber. Continuing his training and playing ant chance they could. Bomber became her companion and never left her side.

Frances visited her mom and sister when she could. She loved being in her childhood home and helping out where she could.

Frank had met Nellie the year before. They were constantly running into each other as she was friends with Paul Johnson who is a classmate of Frank's. They would hangout at the bar. Despite alcohol being illegal it didn't stop this group from having fun. Lewis also got to meet Nellie's friend and the two hit it off really well. After which Lewis would write her letters and she would write him back. It put a smile on his face every time he got one.

Frank eventually got up the nerve to ask her out. They would hangout at the pool or the swimming hole and he eventually asked her out on a date. Nellie was also trying to become a teacher but she wanted to teach young children. Frank asked her to become his girlfriend and she said yes.

Robert McDermott turns into a Toddler. Frances enjoyed being a mom and she loved seeing her children grow never missing a moment.

Meanwhile on the home front, Lewis had taken a step back from working the docks and turned to gardening. Even did some upgrading to the house adding a pond and a side porch to enjoy the oceanside view.

1921...

Carolina began knitting baby onesies. She wanted to be able to give all her grandchildren one and just got excited of the prospect of having many grandchildren. Mary would play on the porch as she knitted. She encouraged Ruth to visit Frank and Anna as Lewis wasn't home most of the time spending his days at market and tending the fields.

Carolina called everyone home for Remembrance Day. They visited the family plot and finally had the first family dinner since everyone had moved away just after the war.

1922...

Anna Gets Married. It was a lavish wedding having been catered with hired musicians. Some would say it was the wedding of the year or even the decade. Nathanel was also able to sneak in some liqour for the bar. It was a grand party and everyone enjoyed it. Carolina was very happy for Anna, not only was she marrying a man she loves but he's a doctor and will provide her so that she will never want for anything.

Anna's New Home. Her and Bomber were excited and spent much of the first days just exploring the home. After finishing school Nathanel even helped her open a vet clinic.

1923...

Frank finally proposes to Nellie. They were married in a private ceremony of family only in a small church. He had also purchased a quaint home perfect for their lifestyle of study.

Anna has a baby, though she never got really big and you would've never been able to tell she was pregnant for most of it. It wasn't until the last 3 months her belly popped out and soon after the baby. They had a baby boy and named him Ernest Wellington.

Carolina went to visit Anna and see her new grandson. She gave him that onesie she had worked on.

Ruth started getting out of the house more. She would often visit the market in the morning. There she ran into Paul Johnson again. He was still very good friends with Lewis and Frank. He asked her out on a date and they began to really admire each other. She told him about Henry and Mary. He told her about his son William and how his wife died in childbirth. They would often meet and spent most of the year getting to know one another and each other's families. He finally proposed and they were married near the end of the year.

While Paul spent time playing with Mary, Ruth spent time talking to William. It was a hard adjustment at first but everyone settled in. Ruth even became pregnant.

Dorothy and Robert spent a lot of time playing and teasing one another. Both Lady and Walt became Elders and Frances became turned 30.

It was a bit of a lonely year for Carolina and Lewis. Along with Prissy they were the only ones left in the home.

1924...

Carolina spent the entire year visiting her children. She would stay with them 2 to 3 months at a time and help them out and get to know everyone a little more. But mostly she just spent as much time with her grandkids as she could. She first visited Anna. She was extremely excited to the house and tend to Ernest as both Nate and Anna worked many hours. Nate worked at the hospital as a surgeon and Anna had her clinic. It also gave the butler a little time to himself since he didn't have to do all the cooking and cleaning with Carolina around. And it was a good time to visit as Ernest was aging into a toddler.

Next she went to see Frances and had a lot of fun teaching Robert to talk.

She then went to visit Frank and Nellie. She wanted to be with her grandson and spend time with Frank and get to know Nellie as she had only briefly meet her just before the wedding.

Finally she went to see Ruth. She had received a letter that Ruth had given birth. And what a surprise it was. TRIPLETS. She knew Ruth was going to need a lot of help and left Frank's a little earlier than planned. Ruth was exhausted and was very happy to her mother. Mary was less than enthused about the babies and got a little jealous when Carolina spent time with them. William was very happy. After being an only child he finally had more siblings than he imagined and really liked the idea of a big family. Shortly after giving birth Ruth turned 30 and Carolina was happy to see it all. The first born was a boy and they named him George, the second a girl named Betty, and the third a girl named Virginia.

As Carolina was away, Lewis was either working or going out on adventures with Prissy. He also quit his gardening job and concentrated on the family fields. But he missed working the docks and wanted to try becoming a fisherman like his father. So he got his job back but had to start over with it. But it was the best way to learn and he was able to join the Captain that had worked for his father a time before the boat had went down at sea so he got to enjoy untold stories of their misadventures.
