I was so excited to get the day off of work so I could just actually play my game today. Debating to turn on story progression for my inactive families. What do you think, should I or shouldn't I?
1976...
Didn't have much going on in 76' so I played a bit with the families. Their stories continue.
Charles had been feeling quite depressed since getting back from the Vietnam War. While it wasn't known then he was suffering from PTSD. He couldn't understand why he was sad and angry all the time, why he would wake up from nightmares in cold sweats, why he just couldn't get back to the world he once knew. He had contracted an illness that took its toll on him and knew he might not have much time left with his family. He visited Deborah and apologized for his behavior. They spent the day together just hanging out and she showed him around the city. He told her not to be ashamed of herself or who she loves and to find peace with the wonderous women she is becoming. Deb could tell something was off, gave him a big hug, and told him he was going to ok. https://i.ibb.co/q7Np0BS/1976-harapologises1.png https://i.ibb.co/S3k5r9V/1976-harapologises2.png https://i.ibb.co/C2nBkZ2/1976-harapologises3.png https://i.ibb.co/5hP0PmN/1976-harapologises4.png https://i.ibb.co/M1Yv1Rc/1976-harapologises5.png
A couple of weeks later the illness took his life. He had been in bed all day not feeling well but he heard his mother Delores coming and went to get up. He collapsed and died. Delores ran to him in panic. She could do nothing but scream for help while holding her son, brushing her hand across his face, crying. https://i.ibb.co/CBzCjhN/1976-Char-Sick-Dies1.png https://i.ibb.co/rxcP0hP/1976-Char-Sick-Dies2.png
There was not a dry eye at the funeral. Everyone tried to pay their respects to the family. But Deborah never came, she never showed up and Delores grew worried about her. She tried to find her but Penny hadn't known where she went. She called John over to help. https://i.ibb.co/8g2s2cw/1976-Char-Funeral1.png https://i.ibb.co/w6B6Ccn/1976-Char-Funeral2.png https://i.ibb.co/j5WtQz9/1976-Char-Funeral3.png https://i.ibb.co/TLMQk0V/1976-Charfuneral4.png https://i.ibb.co/z5XLmfT/1976-Charfuneral5.png
John looked in on all of them. He found Deb but she didn't want to talk to him or anyone. John told Penny what was going on. John went back to Delores to let her know that Deb was ok but she is grieving hard and just needs time. https://i.ibb.co/b2YsKGk/1976-Johnconsoles-Deb1.png https://i.ibb.co/1ZYLnx7/1976-Johnconsoles-Deb2.png https://i.ibb.co/RBy0vvc/1976-Johnconsoles-Deb3.png https://i.ibb.co/mTnDzTR/1976-Johnconsoles-Deb4.png
Things with Dean and Don had been getting a lot better since the girls, Patricia and Lisa Burns, moved in. Don had to do a celebrity event and wanted to embrace the new era, though still dangerous he wanted to tell the world about his love for Dean. This time Dean was ready, he didn't want to lose Don and felt it was time. The photographers were everywhere and now Don and Dean were headliners. https://i.ibb.co/1T1W3W6/1976-Deansupports-Coming-Out1.png https://i.ibb.co/vjn6KcF/1976-Deansupports-Coming-Out2.png https://i.ibb.co/QCMhTpH/1976-Deansupports-Coming-Out3.png
After the death of Charles King, Edward thought of Sayuri. He wanted the family to come together to celebrate what would have been her 30th birthday. While Jude thought it was a bit morbid, he also thought it would be good for Christopher for everyone to get together and remember her. https://i.ibb.co/BtFJhzx/1976-Sayuri-Reunion1.png https://i.ibb.co/J2vQW6n/1976-Sayuri-Reunion2.png https://i.ibb.co/58dc3Yk/1976-Sayuri-Reunion3.png https://i.ibb.co/yBTvW1p/1976-Sayuri-Reunion4.png https://i.ibb.co/Cw3Z8zx/1976-Sayuri-Reunion5.png
Edward saw that Jude had hung back to himself and talked to him about his daughter. He told Jude that it brings him great joy to know that she was loved so deeply. And then he told him that, she doesn't have to be the only woman he ever loves. https://i.ibb.co/hWRJGHF/1976-Edward-Jude1.png https://i.ibb.co/c2DNQG9/1976-Edward-Jude2.png

After hearing the news about Don, Deb asked Penny if she could ever feel the same for her, Penny didn't know what to say and Deb knew what her silence meant. Penny tried to apologize but Deb told her there was nothing to be sorry about. That evening she left and would never go back. She was determined to find herself and be the woman her brother knew her to be. She moved to Windenberg in a small secluded home off the shore of the isle. She quit her job and began writing, she even went to an all-girls bar where she made new friends. She looked onto the horizon beyond the ocean and took a deep breath. https://i.ibb.co/Sf1pcVp/1976-Debmoves1.png https://i.ibb.co/nL3fj8t/1976-Debmoves2.png https://i.ibb.co/pR5kkJG/1976-Debmoves3.png https://i.ibb.co/HDHz3J8/1976-Debmoves4.png https://i.ibb.co/JHsHTTB/1976-Debmoves5.png https://i.ibb.co/kMLM9tv/1976-Debmoves6.png https://i.ibb.co/McxYY4P/1976-Debmoves7.png
Will Deb find what she's looking, what will happen to Dean and Don now the world knows, will Delores forgive her daughter for not being there, and will Jude find love again?
So many stories to be explored, can't wait to see what happens in 1977.
