Not rewrite, exactly, refer to it, yes and add in a bit here and there, if you want. For example, since you are all met by this half-orc, you can include that meeting in your own way, from your own character's perspective in your writing. Or, describe the events leading up to and after that meeting, when you end up in the cottage for the night. It's mainly to give you ideas to write about, but you don't need to re-write that exact information, that is just to put you, as players, into the picture and keep the story-line consistent. Does that help?
