Yes, thanks for helping out, @aussiekarima I have tried to explain a bit more below and this goes for all of you, but from your own characters' point of view with the skills that you have as different classes and characters. Don't hesitate to ask as this sort of writing if this is new to some of you. I can put up a list of the different character class skills if you would like me to.
@Bugsie2016 Put yourself in your rogue, Markus' place. As a group you arrived at Wolfwater. Almost immediately your group was approached by the half-orc, Gnaarbak - tell about that meeting from Markus the rogue's point of view, how did he feel about Gnaabak? What did you feel about that exchange as Markus the rogue would feel? Being a rogue, he may have pickpocketed him while the others talked and you may have found something useful. Make it up as you go along. Others wouldn't as they don't have a pickpocketing skill. They would handle things differently to you.
As Markus, you and the others question a few villagers on your way to the Murbil's cottage. Generally the group didn't get much information from them but you as a rogue may have hidden in shadow and overheard something the others didn't since the villagers, wouldn't know you were there. Play it out like that if you want. Read what the others are doing at the same time, (the starter sentences for all of the characters) Have a conversation if you want with them after you've read what they are doing around you. Offer them the information you may have found out that they didn't.
Then when you arrive at the cottage bring in what you did as Markus according to your sentence starter. (Rogue – rummages through the cottage and finds some artefacts and gold coin including a necklace trampled in the dirt on the floor, with its leather cord snapped. It is a pendant formed from strands of volcanic glass set around what looks like a mummified eye) (you can use this description) Write something about what else you found as well as the necklace, as you rummage around. Play it out like you are Markus the rogue and we are right there with you.
Hope this is more helpful @Bugsie2016
