Newcrest

Ok I've built a nightlife clubbing area on newcrest which contains bars,clubs and restaurants+3 houses which I've populated with 3 families...one of which I play.Now,at the back of my sims house in a little valley type thing there is a picnic area which has a picnic table,a barbeque,and a rubbish bin.My problem is that npc sims go there and cook loads of food which they hardly touch.My sim had to go down there and clear away the rotting uneaten food which consisted of....9 plates of vegie burgers...7 plates of hot dogs and 4 plates of hamburgers.Is there any way of getting rid of this picnic area? I've tried the move objects cheat but it won't work as it's off my families home lot....Help
