Here are some of my kit ideas, but I would love to hear what you guys have thought up and would like to see next!!! Is there a kit you like most?? Any additions or changes to the ones I thought of??
1. Indoor gardening - we could have herbs in little mason jars, planted along the window sill; decorations along those lines including fertilizer and more realistic house plants, such as a potato vine or little ivy to adorn our shelves; also, common plants included like rosemary, oranges (why do we not have these), paprika, oregano, ect...
2. Swimming pool update - diving board and gameplay of teaching the toddlers and kiddos to swim; additional items could be pool noodles, inner tubes, the shark fin helmet kids wear to scare others (could also be game play), beach styled umbrellas that don't stand but lay down in the sand
3. Cars - they have already programmed moving vehicles into the game if you travel to different lots. Not sure how difficult it would be to reintroduce this as a game play option, but it would be incredible if it could. we could have cars, 3-4 vehicle types with varying swatches. gameplay could be driving of course, then teaching teens to drive or sending them to drivers ed, getting tickets every once in a while. But i don't like it when they pick up the bike and ride it and it stay in the inventory...the car would have to be re parked in the street or driveway...Perhaps, we could also slip in bikes here also. Helmets and knee pads, or the racks to place the bikes in- an easy add in build mode or to the university lots...
4. All jazz - addition of saxophone, trumpet, and trombone to the game - inspiration from the greats (Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra...) We could learn as kids and teens, perform on the street for tips and fame, play on the stage or in clubs...we could even expand this pack to a full world, New Orleans themed (Garden District, The Hotel Royal, French Quarter, Bourbon Street) with gameplay from get famous and vampires and magic. We could build a speak easy, renovated for the times or untouched to live out its glory. There could be horse drawn carriage rides, art vendors in the street, new and mouth-watering foods, perhaps some voodoo??? (OBVIOUSLY this EP would sell itself on the beignets alone..heheh!)
5. BABIES!!! gameplay to pick them up and carry them around, move them from one bassinet to another, so they aren't this inanimate object you barely interact with!! Additionally, they could spit up and have their clothes changed. Decoration- diaper pails, wet wipes, random bottles to place in the kitchen, rattles, different mobile to hangs over the cribs - maybe animal themed like giraffes or zebras?
6. Picnic kit - little baskets and blankets, go on family outings to the park all walking together, or even just in the backyard. We could also add in a frisbee or American football gameplay...that was always my favorite part of picnic when I was younger. If additional items were needed, we could have more hats or sunglasses, more blowing bubbles and sunscreen interactions
7. Cooking with kids - I miss the kids being able to use the easy bake oven...but if most dont want that back then we could add in game play to allow kids to make simple things...a sandwich or soup in the microwave, allow them to "help out" with dinner, ask them to "set the table" for respectful or responsible trait gains. We could even allow them to bake in the oven with parental supervision, like how we can get the parents to help with homework.
8. Fitness items - dumbbells, jump rope, skates, skateboard, ect... Decor could be motivational posters or stinky tennis shoes
9. Canoeing or kayaking - instead of fishing you can walk down to the river and go canoeing by clicking on the sign...I think it would be brilliant addition of water sports to the other worlds, outside of Sulani. I also believe it would be an easy addition, as the jet ski and small boat are already incorporated. Decor and CAS items could be life jackets (automatic over whatever top the sim has on, whether it be a swimsuit or a t shirt), nature posters, helmets, backpacks to bring food and water with you, canoes or kayaks with shelving in build mode to add to the garage.
10. Astrology pack - small telescopes for home usage, incredible posters of space, they can capture pictures of what they see and frame it, random personalities or love interests or fears based on zodiac signs (you could assign this or toggle the interaction off/on if you wish) and perhaps even a "check your horoscope" interaction, and lastly, teach kiddos about the stars when stargazing, sending the sims to visit a planetarium or observatory.
