Non-tropical destination ideas. Where in the world are my sims?

i know this might be a little bit tropical, so maybe this doesn't fit here, but i'd love a place in the sims inspired by istanbul or even just the middle east.. you know, not those beach resorts with lots of tourists but just the real life in these towns :)
