At this stage I'm hoping they keep supporting TS4 for atleast 3-5 more years. More than enough time for them to overhaul this system.
Even by hoping to support Sims 4 for at least 3-5 more years, changing the heights would effect too much of what is already in the game. CAS assets would need to be altered as well as animations. It's too much, too expensive. The best option, I feel, would be to wait until the next iteration is released. It's something I hope for as well.
