Another question none sim related but story related.
I know we are all busy people what with out stories and real life, do make the time to read actual books in real life? If so what are some of your favorties, books or authors?
I love to read but sadly I wasn't making time for it. About a year and a half ago me and 2 girlfriends started a book club. It was one of the best things I've done! Usually we get together once a month to discuss the book we read that month. I highly recommend starting one :)
My favorite author is an Irish author named Marian Keyes. She wrotes for a lack of a better word chick lit, similar to a Brigdet Jones but she's hilarious. I'm also a fan of children series such as Harry Potter, Lemony Snicket, Chronicles of Narnia. I think they have undertones that are written and enjoyed but adults. We just finished a book called Ready Player One by Ernest Clone that was amazing. I really think summers and gamers will love it! And finally my all time favorite book is Dantes Inferno. I try and read it every few years.
I read a lot. I'm talking 40-50 books per year. I think I even mentioned it in recent interview for The Simformer.
I read mostly fantasy/sci-fi, but any good bestseller (Dan Brown's books etc.) probably went through my hands as well. Is it made into tv series? I have probably read that too before they even got the idea. I'm trying to follow what's new on book market and my best friend works as a librarian so we keep each other updated as well.
My current two most favourite fantasy authors are Patricks Rothfuss (The Kingkiller Chronicle) and Brandon Sanderson (The Mistborn series and above all his new series The Stormlight Archive). Their works are extraordinary. The Kingkiller Chronicle is breathtaking and The Stormlight Archive will blow your mind away not only with its extent but the level of complexity. With each book Sanderson gets better and better.
I also love crime fiction and also read all books by Jo Nesbo. @CharmingMaruska If you like his books I recommend Lars Kepler.
Okay, I better stop here, because when I start about books, I'm unstoppable.
@swcheppes I read or heard about all books you mentioned. Ready Player One is definitely on my list too. Heard only praise on it.
Definitely read it! I'd love to hear your thoughts. His second book seems more sci fi based so you might like that one too. I haven't read it yet though.
