NPC Careers as Active Careers

Wouldn’t it be MARVELOUS if the sims team took the NPC roles already in the world (firefighters, gardeners, mail and pizza delivery people, repair people, librarians, bartenders, buskers, sages, professors, landlords, maids, waitstaff, cafe workers, entertainers, scientists, police, bouncers, makeup artists, paparazzi, etc) and let OUR sims, our ACTIVE PLAYED SIMS, be those things??? Even if it was a rabbit hole job, but our sims showed up in those roles when we played other sims? Or EVEN better, if those jobs had an “active” option where we followed these sims to work and delivered mail, meeting our neighbors along the route, or mixed drinks, meeting patrons of the bar at the same time, or cleaned other homes, flirting with the boss at the same time??? THIS WOULD MAKE THE WORLD SO MUCH MORE ALIVE, and prevent the need to generate so many NPC sims. I for one get bored if all my sims have fancy jobs like astronaut, doctor or actor. I want to have options so those special times when I play a secret agent sim, it feels special!!!! Anyone agree or think this would be a great idea?

I had the exact same idea a few days ago when one of my sims married a working NPC, and that NPC immediately lost his job. Another problem we wouldn't have if those NPC jobs were actual jobs in the game.

I understand that things like maid or firefighter wouldn't offer enough content to become full-blown careers with ten levels and two branches each, but that could be solved by making them freelancer careers like ghost hunter, where you follow them to the location and do what you're supposed to do, or 3-level rabbit hole careers like the part-time jobs. Either way, I would be on board with that.
