Personally, I'd rather they left them be. I sometimes play as pre-made families, and would be disappointed if their appearance/lore suddenly changed. Each to their own, no one's opinion is right or wrong, this is just how I feel. :smile:
Are you okay with white-washing characters and completely throwing Sims lore away?
Nina & Dina Caliente went from being brown to white.
You can see that they have green eyes, with blonde and red hair, so their skin would be on the lighter side of brown, even when tanned, because they are white, not brown. There's also the fact that TS2 had 3 skintones compared to the 100 skintones in TS4, so an exact match isn't really possible.
The mother of Nina & Dina is Middle Eastern (Ni-ghat Al-Mahmoud) and their father is Hispanic (Flamenco Caliente), so I would consider them being brown. Just like their skin tone is brown in Sims 2 and Sims 3. The Caliente Sisters aren‘t white like they are in Sims 4.
It’s even part of their lore that they have Mediterranean roots.
