Just wanted to do a quick comment on @Karababy52's Jan. 10th update:
@Karababy52 - So fantastic that Cale meets a Japanese elder who is trying to teach Cale the ways of the world, by quoting proverbs...which Cale is not quite getting. lol Love this bit of lore as part of your story. I have read this fable before (I believe there is also another ending where the youth asks "What if you feed both?" and the answer is "If you feed them right, they both win", in other words, because there is good and evil in each of us, if you don't feed the bad wolf, he will be waiting for you at every corner, waiting for you to become weak. But if the bad wolf is acknowledged, then he will live in peace within you. One wolf can't exist without the other.) However, I like the original ending better, which you told in your up-date, which pertains so much better to Cale's predicament in life right now. I really like how you are using this fable in your story, and that an elder, a kind of guide for Cale, is telling him the story. Cale, who is having such struggles about life and his feelings right now. Teen angst and also what happened in his past. He needed someone like Kane to enter his life. Love the shot at the end of Cale floating in the lake looking at the moon, as if he is contemplating what the elder said, and maybe this will inspire him to move on and become the person he wants to be. Love it! And how appropriate was that, that those bats just appeared! lol Maybe the elder really is a vampire! Sort of a fore-shadowing of meeting Cale again in the vampire world. Anyway, just love, love, love this update, because I just adore lore in stories. Fantastic!
